Interfaith Neighbors is a 501(C) 3 tax exempt organization founded in May 1988. Its supporting members number more than 90 religious congregations of varying denominations. In addition, there are hundreds of private donors as well as corporations, charitable gift trusts and foundations.

We Make A Difference in the lives of the working poor, the elderly, shut-Ins, disadvantaged youth and neighborhoods in need of revitalization in Monmouth County.

Our Goals are to continue to assist those who are in need of our services, to expand and improve our current programs, and, where appropriate, to take on new challenges.

With Thanks... Last fall, Interfaith Neighbors commissioned artist Jim Fitzmaurice to design and produce a mural incorporating our motto “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” with a focus on programs that provide homeownership, rental assistance, nutrition, community development, academic skills improvement, job training and volunteerism. Jim beautifully incorporated all of these with the concept of a farm field where not only wheat and corn could grow in abundance, but also knowledge and community, represented by the buildings sprouting on the landscape and children reading in the sunlight. To see more of Jim’s amazing work visit Our deepest thanks to Jim for this beautiful addition!
