A business incubator facility, the Asbury Business Incubator (“ABI”), will open at the new Springwood Center in early fall 2012. The Springwood Center Complex is under construction at 1201 Springwood Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ and is one of the keystone projects in the implementation of the City’s award-winning Springwood Avenue Redevelopment Plan. The ABI is being launched as part of Interfaith Neighbors’ new, multi-faceted Business Development Center which is itself designed to promote business and economic activity while contributing to the revitalization of the West Side community.
The Asbury Business Incubator’s mission is to facilitate the development of new entrepreneurial companies and support the growth of established firms in Asbury Park and the surrounding areas.
“Successful completion of a business incubation program increases the likelihood that a start-up company will stay in business for the long term. Historically, 87% of incubator graduates stay in business” according to National Business Incubation Association.
This is accomplished by offering an array of business support resources and services. Often, young and small companies need assistance to commercialize their products and services. The Asbury Business Incubator will provide office space, shared office resources, and access to technical, financial, legal, marketing, and management assistance. The active support of experienced business advisors creates an atmosphere in which young companies thrive.
The Asbury Business Incubator, when combined with other services offered by the Interfaith Neighbors Business Development Center, will help the start-up grow into a viable company creating jobs and spark economic growth in Asbury Park and the surrounding areas.
