Asbury Park’s Got Talent

COMMUNITY UPDATE: Due to COVID-19 health concerns, all auditions have been postponed until further notice.

Asbury Park`s Got Talent

“Everybody is talented because everybody who is human has something to express!” – Brenda Ueland

As a result of the Wells Fargo Regional Foundation Planning Grant, the youth subcommittee expressed a desire to give the local community something to do that was both positive, stimulating and provided a platform to showcase their talent.

Everyone loves a talent show. The only thing more fun than watching one is participating. The feeling one gets when the audience applauds is one of validation for one’s efforts and provides a sense of elation found nowhere else.

This year Interfaith Neighbor’s will be hosting the Second Annual Asbury Park’s Got Talent Show!

To participate, contestants must be 10 years of age or older and reside within a 5 mile radius of Asbury Park.

Participants must attend one of the three scheduled auditions.

The (3) auditions for the 2020 APGT will be held on the following Saturdays:

  • February 22nd
  • March 21st
  • April 25Th

All auditions will begin promptly at 7 pm at Kula Cafe, 1201 Springwood Avenue, Asbury Park

This years theme is “Rising Up”. Contestants will be judged on their ability to relate their performance to the 1960-1980 era OR a social justice issue.

All participants must come prepared. If music or media is required, participants must bring their own thumb drive or aux cord. Other forms such as CD or cassette player will not be accepted.

Final winners will compete in the final showcase for the opportunity to win prizes and preform in front of a live audience.
