Dear Mr. Marmora and Maura,
I wanted to take a minute to let you know my last house payment made it to Mr. C. Words will never describe how this has helped our family. Not worrying about loosing our house the past five months has given me the energy and strength to help H. and my family really start the healing process from this whole ordeal. We definitely have a bit of a bumpy road ahead, but we feel very blessed. Interfaith Neighbors is such an amazing organization. I just felt the love when I walked in. It felt like one big family! I truly hope someday I am in the position to give back, help other families and be involved at Interfaith Neighbors. Maura, I can’t thank you enough for letting me vent or loose it I should say. I didn’t even know you, but you were the first person that I opened up to after the hospital. Maura, you and will never know how much that meant to me. You are an amazing person, and I wish you and your family the best. Mr. Marmora, I can’t even imagine all the families you have helped. Serving others all of these years definitely grants you a wonderful retirement. Also, than you for taking the time to write to H. It was a low point for him, and I truly believe receiving that letter reminded him about the good in people. That people truly care. Before my grandmother’s passing, she always said it takes a village, and she was a smart woman. Thanks again for being my village.
Sincerely, with love,
E.H. and family
