Who We Are
Interfaith Neighbors, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in May 1988 when local faith communities came together to address the growing problem of homelessness. Over the years, our services have grown to now include seven distinct programs serving all of Monmouth County. Our supporting members now number over 45 religious congregations of all denominations plus hundreds of private donors as well as corporations, charitable gift trusts and foundations. Interfaith Neighbors has an established track record of successfully delivering projects in a highly efficient and effective manner while building a reputation for excellence that is widely acknowledged, including:
A stable, highly qualified management team with over 90 years of business experience in such areas as real estate development, project management, real estate law and financial analysis combined with over 40 years’ cumulative tenure managing the growth of Interfaith Neighbors.
Maintaining a lean and flat organizational structure where $.97 out of every dollar contributed supports a benefitting activity.
A reputation for delivering development projects on time and within budget. Perhaps more importantly, Interfaith Neighbors is the only entity with a proven ability for successfully developing a major, neighborhood-changing, mixed use project within the Springwood Avenue corridor since 1970.
Excellent working relationships with local, county and State elected officials as well as government professionals at all levels.
Interfaith Neighbors has a social services/social impact mission that we succeed in carrying out through strong personal commitment combined with conservative business practices. We are committed to success and only take on projects or initiatives that we believe have a high probability of success.
